Kids in regularly at in Stretford Mall for the following purposes and externally in local schools plus prominent locations in and around Manchester.
- Walk-in consultations on Thursdays – from 3pm to 5pm;
- Hands-on workshops on Fridays from 3pm to 5pm – driven by our various space-themed and related technology projects; and
- Projects on the 1st Saturday of each month (Project Saturdays) from 2pm to 5pm.
Kids in Space through its Engaging Young Minds programme aims to Inspire, Engage and Motivate young people aged 5 to 25 through the medium of outer-space and related technology.
Inspiring children: Capturing their imagination through space-themed activities.
Engaging youth: Developing their STEM skill sets, team working skills and entrepreneurial abilities through our “Maker” workshops and Project sessions.
Motivating young people: Through space-themed and related technology projects to promote their employ-ability.
We collaborate with our Partners and selected corporate organisations for them to sponsor workshops and events leading to work experience interaction between them and Kids in Space. Such collaboration being designed to foster worthy employment-age youth into apprenticeships with outer-space equipment & service companies and associated high-tech related UK industries, preferably with Greater Manchester-based organisations.
